My Favorite Christine O’Donnell Moment

Christine O’Donnell is the latest big thing for the tea party after upsetting Mike Castle for the GOP Senate nomination in Delaware.  I think Jon Stewart got it right when he said “the Palin is strong in this one”.  Now people are uncovering some of her….er….interesting statements from her past TV appearances.  And while it’s hard not to enjoy hearing the things she has to say on such subjects as her adventures with witchcraft, her equating masturbation with adultery (just like it says in the Bible), and how AIDS research funding promotes sin, her following thoughts from a 2007 episode of The O’Reilly Factor are my favorite:

O’DONNELL: … these groups admitted that the report that said, “Hey, yay, we cloned a monkey. Now we’re using this to start cloning humans.” We have to keep…

O’REILLY: Let them admit anything they want. But they won’t do that here in the United States unless all craziness is going on.

O’DONNELL: They are — they are doing that here in the United States. American scientific companies are cross-breeding humans and animals and coming up with mice with fully functioning human brains. So they’re already into this experiment.

Oh my goodness, mice with fully functioning human brains!   And that was under the Bush administration.  Can you imagine what these mad scientists have come up with now that Obama is President?!  I don’t know, but I’m betting it’s flying monkeys!

Now it may be easy to scoff at O’Donnell’s warning here.  But I have just unearthed some starting photographic evidence of just what Christine O’Donnell may have been referring to.

Oh man, those don’t look like normal mice!  Christine O’Donnell was right!  Wait, now I have unearthed some video footage as well:

This is much worse than any of us could have thought.  Not only do they talk, but one is a genius, the other’s insane!  And they are planning on taking over the world!  Forget Al Qaeda, this threat should be this country’s top priority!  Thank you Christine O’Donnell for bringing this to our attention.  Keep coming back here to The World’s (Not So) Funniest Blog for all the latest on the mice with human brains crisis!

  1. My Favorite Christine O?Donnell Moment…

I found your entry interesting do I’ve added a Trackback to it on my weblog :)…

  2. If the Dem’s can’t take Delaware during the mid terms it is time to pack it all in and just call it quits. 🙂
I understand people are frustrated, but really, this is the best viable conservative candidate out there? What goes on in the mind of somebody who says..yes, this is the person that is going to solve all the problems, bring answers to the table. If it were not such a critical time in the course of our country I would say, do it! Let these nut jobs in, but there is so, so much work to do, you can’t waste time, effort and money with the O’Donnells of the world. Speaking of money..for a country with such high unemployment evidently there is a boatload of money out there to support right wing nut job candidates?

  3. ..just had an epiphany moment..do you suppose she got all that money contributed to her campaign because she did a little witchcraft? bwhaaahaaaahaaaaa…picture it..Christine dancing naked under a full moon, sacrificing life like plastic male anatomy parts..hey..it could happen!

I think it is clear that the main thing a lot of supporters on the right want to see is the wholesale buy-in of the conservative/tea party doctrine, and nothing else matters. In fact, intelligence may be seen as a negative, because it is better to have a sheep that doesn’t question anything.

I do think she has at least a puncher’s chance of winning in November. It’s not really good publicity, but she is getting a ton of it, so she doesn’t have to worry about name recognition. And as you noted, the amount of money she is raising is crazy (nearly $2M according to her website) and that helps. Of course, I am assuming she will actually spend that money on the campaign on not on herself!

Also, never discount the power of witchcraft!
